    Hi Miguel
the photo may not be 100% crisp and sharp, but you took it through thick glass and a fast moving plane :)
We don't get to see Oman like this often..its so interesting.
The homes are HUGE, so big. I wonder if its one family or a generation of families in each home. great post

Interesting to see the large modern day windmill in the bg, contrasting the charming scene :) I know its hard to stay indoors all the time, but please stay in as much as you can.
It is a lovely photo however, classic JHM style. excellent depth and perspective lines. cheers

    Hi Ian
really nice shot, especially in the larger version, indeed.
love the grey tones, so different from the dark browns in the lower FG. great details too. What has happened to the Fires in Australia???? All we here on the news now is Covid 19. Just goes to show how the media switches to whatever is most scary at the time...I havn't heard ANYTHING about the fires in quite some time. cheers

    Hi Krzysztof
you know I enjoy these indoor shots, they compliment the outdoor ones perfectly. I like that you also captured the ceiling and its woodwork. hard to capture it with the light streaming in so brightly in white, through the windows, but it turned out well, we can see the details quite clearly.
    Fun post. cheers

    Hi Elaine
its so hard to chose only 1 shot from your gallery, but I chose this one. Not only for the boys, but I also like the ragged bench with its chipped paint. The boy standing seems to be a trouble maker haha, wonderful shot, sad in a way too, which makes it powerful. cheers

Hello Gert, Nice postcard, a quite classical view with the monument, Narikala fortress and a few churches. You criticize many places that I have shown that they are very touristy. In my last year trips Tbilisi was the most touristy. When I came from Baku for just one day in Tbilisi, I wanted to see the well-known places, like this Old Town area, Old Baths, and so on. I checked the big pipes, the bridges, but it was simply unbearable. A constant flow of people, mainly German, on every street, even side ones. After one or two hours I went away as quickly as possible. Liberty Square and the area near Parliament were also crowded, but it was a bit better. Finally, I went to Mtatsminda and there I was in a nice place.

After compulsory quarantine but nothing has changed. We have to stay home.

    Best regards MAlgo

    Hello Gert

Was this a work trip (were you still working in 2012?). If this is in the centre of town, it looks mercifully uncongested. A wide boulevard taking you to some interesting places by the look of it. And some nice bars and restaurants...

    Stay safe.

    Hi Gert
    I just emailed you.
Nice to see a Postcard from you for a change, why not right?
Even if it does hurt you to do so haha. from a composition stand out, its good that the statue on the left is ABOVE the tree line in the bg...its actually quite important. It bothers me when such subjects are not clearly visable. I can see why this would be on the tourist map, its got some obvious appeal. nice shot. cheers
