Great Luko 2004-03-30 15:03

Funny...The streetlight (yes, this is a design light box) you've taken in the foreground reminds the primary rough shape of a Holga camera...it's like a Holga family portrait, but could there be such things as Holga streetlights..

Not Holga fan myself, I've stopped the experiments at Lubitel stage, though I've seen very interesting things in your website : gave me some ideas to recycle my Pentacon six. But how do you manage not to get the center circle rangefinder in your shots?

Hi Luko thanks for your comment and enlightning of the thing in the foreground (is new to me) -- @ Pentacon six TL: know what you mean (the Yashica Mat 124 has these center circles) - the Pentacon viewfinder of my camera has them not - let me know if you try this kind of double-camera-photography > there are many old cameras without lines on the viewfinder, Agfaclack, and boxes like that ...

Hi Andreas,

thanks for your tips, looking at what you did made me reconsider my Pentacon, that was taking the dust on a bookshelf. I won't buy any other camera but simply looking at an original way to use it since I cannot load any film in, because the winder is acting randomly : sometimes winding film, sometimes not, other times it will only wind half of it...the situation is getting worse everytime I hold it as a nut or a bolt falls even though nothing seems to miss outside. That's a mistery to me.

I believe that east german engineers had a plethora of useless small metallic parts, so they decided to fill the Pentacon with dented wheels, screws or other tired iron items, simply in the purpose not to throw them away.

If you have any other creative ideas of using Pentacon parts with no film, I'd welcome them...anyway I'll try "digital Pentacon" next week end and see how it comes out even with the circle lines.

Thanks,
Luko

Pentacon problems? Overlapping photos? I know ... but there is help, very easy to do: go here:
http://www.baierfoto.de/transportengl.html
and you see what I mean (helps in 95 % of all cameras)
Spend one roll without exposing (open camera back and control the result ... )

I have another question: how to get emails if I get a comment on a posting here?
CU
Andreas
satz@wolkerstorfer.at would be my email

Fine, I'll have a look there and hope it will fix my problems. I must say since I sold my other medium format camera, I miss big slides and negs..and the Lubitel doesn't quite do the thing...

As for your Q. I'm afraid there's no mean of receiving e-mails each times somebody posts a comment on one of your photos.
But you can receive an alert email when somebody replies to a forum discussion where you posted something : simply tick the option "email alert on forum discussion" in your profile options (click on your name, then choose profiles/alert profiles).
Also check your email adress in your "personal profile".

Hope this helps.
Luko
