Default Cute fotkas

Something that bugs me for some time…

Photographing the family members, friends, fiancés, and mostly - kids…
Funny thing is that I don't mind actually, to see a family member presence in the photo and being helpful in creating something very special, something very photographical.
I wouldn't even question such post… You can notice right away that the author is a 'photographer' and whomever he pictures in his photographs - it's for the good of it…
It enhances the final result…It makes sense and it doesn't violate the TOS, because the photo is not about that familiar person at all.

No… I'm talking about the extremely silly and naïve family fotkas where, at the first glimpse - you can see it's his or her child or grandchild, or girlfriend or stuff like that…
Just by the way the photo is shot…
With the peculiar intimacy impossible to achieve while photographing the strangers…(?)
Look please at these samples below…

Are you trying to tell me that these are in accordance with the TOS on TE ?

http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo970677.htm
http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo962311.htm

And - I don't mind stuff like this one:
http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo970070.htm
Even if the child in there is 'the child in question' (?) - it's the part of a bigger picture, it enhances the whole thing and actually makes the photo much more interesting…
Also: If not those Andean musicians in there - it won't be even posted.(perhaps ?)

And, what about this furry dude ?
Isn't that a domestic pet having leisure time and it doesn't contribute a one bloody heck to the 'learning about the word' motto of TE !
http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo970036.htm

And, what about this 'artistry' ?
http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo969993.htm
Isn't there enough of complete trash on TE, to litter it even further with such an obvious crap.

It's funny…
Administration provided ( in its divine wisdom ) a place for such an artistic outburst of the photographic passion and it is our good, ol' sister - TL…
Why o ' why they don't go there to enrich the other site with the immense strength of their productions ?

………………………………

Just the thoughts, folks…
Just the thoughts at the end of the day…

George

Hi George;

Your simply saying what many of us have believed and seen for years. I'm sure the moderators appreciate you pointing things out as I notice the 'furry dude' is missing already...

When it comes to people shots, sure- it may seem blatantly obvious that the subject knows the photographer by the way they react with the camera etc. However it comes down to the photographers word. if the photographer says 'this is a stranger on the street', a moderator cannot simply call them a liar and remove the image.

Interesting topic...

True enough Dan, yet...
Another peculiar thing I've observed today...
The deeper you go into the welcome gallery - the less and less there there is those cute fotkas...
Above the page 70 or 80 - hardly ANY of the 'cuties' exists any longer..!!!

Conclusion ..
Actually - the mods ARE working hard...
Actually - they try to clean the pages of TE as much as possible...

Praise the lord - pass the ammunition !

G'night, folks

I can tell - they are working hard, they removed two of my photos. However I think one of them was perfectly according the rules, but you can´t start war with moderators right?

OK,peace folks, peace... :-D

I checked out your photos, Adrian, and they seem to be very proper for TE-Did you have any Seagulls or snot nosed brats? That doesn't seem your style....By the way, you have some very nice photos.

Hi Farah, well, all those "improper" were already removed, so you had no chance to see them. :-)
Maybe I´ll repost one of the removed ones but with a less "disturbing" note, which was the reason.
Thanks for the compliment.

Cute is a good one . . . try seagull . . .

talk about ammo George!
I think what happened is this; for a while there was no moderation . . . and those pics are still there.
BUT . . . what is the purpose of a photo? . . . where is the real beauty? . . . in the picture or in your mind?
that's what I like about TE . . . lets face it;not every shot is a masterpiece! . . . and the story that makes the beauty gets the chance too . . . in the note.

sleep well George . . . Latvia is waking up :)

As one of my photo is among your list, I must say my opinion.
Well you just spend your time complaining and joking about everything and everyone on the site, if TE is not good enough for you amazing skills of photographer, why don't just leave ??? Why complaining all the time ?

Considering my photo, this kid was playing on the beach, he is not from my family, why telling he is if you don't know ? Just to write something bad about it on the forum ? Kids are part of the world, as much as your adults are. You are posting people everyday, you might know humans are part of TE TOS ! I really don't mind that you don't like my photo or want this kid as being mine but just please stop say bad things about photographer if you don't know those things.

You seem to think you're the best photographer ever, and everyone, except a couple of friends of yours, just deserve contempt and irony. Just let people express themselves in the way they want to, as you do. Being humble has never killed anyone.
