Great windosil 2008-03-29 12:22

Hallo, Hemant.
This is a very clear picture, good colours.
The construction with flat pieces of stone reminds me of the pre-historic building techniques in the Shetland islands. Of course, they did not have wooden inserts or decorated roofs. Is this type of stone still used in this area of India?
Best wishes,
Winifred

Default To windosil: thanks

Hi Winifred,

Thanks for your visit to my page and your valuable and important comments. I really appreciate it.
Yes this kind of architecture is still used in the villages of Himalays in India. It is local stone mostl slate stone which is used to build walls and roofs. Though slowly people are changing to modern materials but still a large population mostly is small towns and villages use it.
Regards,

Hemant
