Default Pages numbering

I think pages should be numbered on the contrary, i.e. newest photos will have larger page number.
In this case the same photo will be on the specific page and will not shift from page to page.
That's good for search engines too.

Hmm, interesting idea. I can think of a couple of reasons why this won't be better for search engines:

1. As photos are deleted, photos will change pages anyway.
2. Search engines like when pages change as this indicates 'new content', and will come back to check (and index) more often.

In addition, it runs counter to my intuitive feeling that the latest photos belong on page 1, not page 342 for example.

Anybody else have opinions on this?
