Default greek isles tips?

Hi, new guy here, I'm going to the Greek Cyclades islands in May. Those are the ones with all the white building. I've never shot anything so....bright before. What adjustments should I make to allow for all that white, so anything else doesn't get underexposed. I'm using both a Canon EOS Elan and a Canon S110 digital elph. Thanks in advance.

With your EOS you should bracket just in case, and with the digital camera just make sure that you set the white balance to the 'bright sunlight' setting. Generally you need to over-expose, but bracketing is even safer.

thanks, ronners. I hate to bracket, being cheap by nature, but for some shots, the must haves, I guess there is no other way. And I'll have to actually read the manual for my digital, I guess. Ah well....

Dear friend, first of all you must have a good wide angle lens.I thin Canon's 28-90mm is a superb one.
Second,a polar filter.
Third,a good slide film.
Note that Cyclades islands are perfect for photography.Try unusual angle of views and add color to your photos. There are too many white.
Have a nice trip and enjoy my country.
