Great macondo 2010-07-12 1:34

Hi Keith.
If this is exactly how you framed it from the plane - no cropping or rotating - then you nailed a very good composition from that height, with the two shorelines and the diagonal spit of land occupying the corners and the space between them very well. Colours are great and adjusting the black and white points has left a great 'deep' patch in the bottom right corner. Very nicely done, and sharp enough to boot.
Regards,
Andrew

Default To macondo: Definitely as shot

Hi Andrew,

Yes it is definitely straight from the camera, but I must confess the composition owes a great deal to luck. I was wearing a helmet with full face visor so couldn't actually see the whole of the viewfinder. All I could do was approximate composition based on the part of the viewfinder I could see.
Happy with the result though? - You bet I am.
