Love this!
If you look at my posts from N.Y., you will see a very similar shot.
These posts make such enigmatic focal points and then the perfect lead to the taller skyscrapers, filling the b/g.
Love how the photograph is so colourful, too.

To Royaldevon: The wooden posts
Thank you Beverley,
I had a look at the picture you mentioned. You took it at another place, namely on the Hudson River. There I've also seen places with these wooden posts. So you also wonder if this was once a mooring place or not. The title of your photo was 'A New York mystery'. I didn't find anything on it in my guidebook. Best regards, Paul
