ok, there was no hidden message or reading in between the lines in my sentence, was I the one complaining about photos taken by others, did I say photos in my portfolio comply with the rules here? no, I would go even further and say that many of my photos don't, the main reasons they were posted here over the last few years was simply becuase I have found many e-friends here who's company I enjoyed, and we shared the same interests in photography, and while some of my photos do comply and have some learning about the world content, there are many that don't.

Feel like pressing the "report" button, go ahead, have a blast ;-)

no, no, no Peter..

I'm all with you.. I'm also here for the fun of it..

..simply hate the report button and playing the 'I know it all thing'

Improvement of TE may come by our work not by pinpointing some 'examples' of TOS violation in detail...

Now joining G. for his fishing trip... have a fine evening

nice to be amongst friends who enjoy fishing and beer ....although the latter appeals to me more.....

Richard Gatward a long standing member of TE had a photo he took of me removed a year or two ago - it has just been exhibited in a major exhibition in London as part of the Guardian newspaper supported Portrait of Britain competition - the judges obviously thought it said something very important about the world .......the Uk anyway......I happened to be drinking a pint of beer in the shot and obviously enjoying it!

love and fishes! Kev

I found out two extraordinary methods of improvement of our own works:

1. The yellow monkie...
This is the ONLY tool with the power of making us thinking twice before we post some crap again,

and the other mean:

2. The pinpointed samples of some photographs....

For some reason, the yellow makaka is ignored largely by the photo experts on TE, and pinpointing is (almost) illegal on TE..

There..
Now, what ?

The green fella can't be (in any circumstances) - valued as a tool for improving your photography...
Actually - it's the opposite way... Exactly - the opposite, that is...
Getting greenie means - I'M GOOD !!!!
There is no reason for me to change anything... I'M GOOD already !!!
Look at my photos... Good ones, eh ???
Full of smiling greenies, attached nicely... :-))))
Do you see the one with the gold and red leaves and the blue skies ?
What about the one with the water in the middle, surrounded by the mountains…?
Have you ever seen like this one before...???
No wonder it has 132 points... Such a rarity !

..............................
The yellow, pale one...
The only one that has some value in it...

Solo, perduto, abbandonato...
In landa desolato
!

Almost doesn't exist on our site…
I guess… We are the greatest gathering of geniuses the world has ever known !

HCB once declared:
"Only one per 1500 of my negative frames has any value in it' !

Uhm… Move over, old pal… Here comes TE !
One per one posted - 100% sure shot…!
For many of us… The geniuses…

My photo ?
"Don't you dare to criticize it negatively…I'm here to learn about the photography and not to get your stupid, yellow monkie !
Who the hell you think you are
" ?

:-)))))))))

………………
Fishin' is good…!
Fishin' and beerin' even better

:-))))

………..

November 2008
Istanbul
Galata Bridge
Returning home across it after a night out with my good friend BBbooju
early hours of the morning
each hosting a skinful
fishermen all along the bridge
and the occasional woman too
BB catches me up with a big smile
and two bottles of the strongest beer man ever invented
he doesn't post photos of people he knows
but photos of people he gets to know
with our new gifts
we party on the bridge
and he takes this!

fishin' and beerin' - yup! I'll go with that!

;-)))))

Hey, George - Pal
Weren't You the one who just a day or so ago said that yellow macacas are reserved for technical screwups only? :)) So, I invite you to use them (yellow macacas) to your delight in my gallery.

Fishin' is good ;))

You don't have the technical screw ups, Kristaps...
There is nothing to improve... It's sharp and in color, and we can see what's in it ...

The problem is:
WHY did you post that photo ???
There is no yellow makaka for that !

:-)))

.................

PS: There is one element more important in there than the fotka itself...
Your attitude towards this whole affair...
O'man... If only everyone was reacting upon reprimand with such a smile and easy going lightness of being like you, ol' buddy...

Something to learn from you...

Love and respect, pal

george
