Good CliffW 2006-02-28 0:19

Hmmmm, I like the experiment, for the sake of experimenting. Kinds of leaves some open questions, which is good. And I don't dislike the effect (although grain and blur together is still a question for me). But I do pick up on some sort of artifacts going on that's not part of the usual grain pattern, especially right in the middle of the shot, directly in front of the bent over figure. Kind of looks like a run... not sure how else to describe it. Still, I do appreciate the desire to put up something new and unique.

Default To CliffW: experiments

Cliff, there is a problem with the image, don't know if it was a faulty roll or it was messed up during developement.
As for the image being an experiment for the sake of experimenting, Idon't see it this way, infact IMO this image is very traditional, OOF backgrounf, in focus foreground (perhaps not as sharp as many would desire due to the slow shutter speed, but still), curve leading across the image, traditional film with traditional grain, almost no editing except some brightness, all in all IMO pretty traditional approach.
Thanks for your comment, appreciate it.

Hey Peter, just a word back to let you know that experimental is a major positive word for me. But wanted to let you know too that I wasn't meaning "accidental". I do appreciate the comment back, as it's interesting to see where people were going when they were pointing the lens. I learn a lot from those sorts of conversations.
