Great batalay 2007-02-25 11:16

Hi Janos,

The great German physicist, Werner Heisenberg, once wrote, "Never underestimat how much pleasure it gives a man to see/hear what he already knows." So it is with me and Venice. I know this area very well, and cannot get enough of it. Your (almost) twenty year old slide, scanned and cropped to panoramic proportions, presents the Sciavoni beautifully. The B&W is ideal for the light conditions.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Default To batalay: many faces of Venice

Thank you, Bulent, for coming back with me to Venice. Yes, I am quite partial to this shot and interpreting Venice different ways. Since I saw Tales of Hoffmann it inspired me even more ( especially being cheated by an Venetian glass maker in Murano - more power to them!)
Lucky you, tha you can return many times. Everbest, Janos
