Great the_anarchist 2009-07-05 12:36

A classic, yet very beautiful shot. great composition. you could have cropped just a little bit from the top so that there is a better symmetry between the sky and the building, and left a bit more room at the bottom, so that we see the windows in the bottom fully. It could be fun to see the picture upside down, as well, checking the negative space.

Default To the_anarchist: upside down

Upside down? Please, have mercy and respect to Muslims.
They wouldn't appreciate that!

Crop the sky… Why not?
I usually leave more space for pointed objects like
mosque towers so that they have somewhere to "fly"
and so that they don't seem to "pierce" the frame.

More of windows. I wish I could,
but there're more details that get in view
that would require to be displayed fully…
At least in my perception.

Thanks for your detialed critiques :)

:) islam is a heavenly religion. I dont think they would mind having the mosque becoming the heaven ;)
i really like the balance of the mosque and the sky. thats why i thought it would be interesting to see how it works the other way around
