Great mcmtanyel 2015-08-01 16:46

Hello Chris,
It's a lovely view of this old Ottoman bridge. The reflections on the water are pretty. Treating the sky with blue cyan has definitely helped and it looks quite natural.

Nice to hear from you after such a long time. Are you still based in Turkey? From what I hear, Turkey is a little too on the edge these days.

Hi Murat

No, I left Turkey in July last year. I spent 9 months travelling and 3 months in the Czech Republic. At the moment, I am on tour in the Balkans. Maybe I'll settle down somewhere in September when the new school year starts? And yes Turkey is volatile at the moment. I am hoping that the attempt by Isis/ Isil to reignite the PKK problem is a failure. The bombing near Urfa has for the most part failed as all it has done is galvanise public opinion in Turkey against Isis. There were a couple of police killed by Pkk sympathisers who saw the bombing in Suruc as covert support of Isis by Turkey. But the response by Turkey to bomb Isis positions proved this to be wrong. Not sure if it was a good idea to bomb Kurdish positions as well? Anyway the situation remains tense.
