Great holmertz 2020-01-20 2:19

Hello Bev,
With some imagination I could also see this building as a Trojan horse, but I guess the history of Bishop Auckland doesn't go that far back. But the building really becomes more interesting when thinking of a siege engine. Was that the architect's intention or just your own imagination? Of the WS photos I am fascinated by the interior. The decorated ceiling could be seen as modernist or medieval, depending on your mindset. Someone had a very smart idea.
And I had no trouble with the notes (to me all the paragraphs would make one note, like the headline says: "Photographer's Note", but I see you use the plural). Mine are much longer. ;-)
Best regards,

Thank you for your critique, Gert.

We went round Bishop Auckland with a family member of of one of my friends, who was very knowledgeable about the Auckland Project but all information about Auckland Tower was gained from the assistant inside the tower. The staff just could not have been more helpful, just as they were in the Miners' Art Gallery. If the knowledge and attitude of the staff equaled the success of the project, it would be a roaring success.

The town itself is suffering from the lack of job opportunities. Let's hope this ambitious project rejuvenates the town.
