Photographer's Note

One of numerous ferry crossing on pistes of Madagascar.
As most of tracks on the islands lacks bridges you have to cross rivers with either ford or ferry. Some of the latter ones are powered by local people. Operation is very efficient and takes less than a quarter on a quite big river.
The river on the picture is Mangory on the track between Morondava to Toliara. To cover the distance of 300 km we were driving full long two days, crossing dozen of rivers, just one of them with this ferry.
