Photographer’s Note

A daily snapshot of the floating..Mall,
when a lot of vendors from the surrounding floating houses, approach it and selling their products.
This moment the boy, dickered with a friend of mine,Nick , for a dollar, to give him the snake to wreathe it round his neck.

The floating mall is in the centre of the lake and consists from a tourist shop selling drinks,books and so on, and one other shop that someone can takes his dinner and to enjoy the view of the area.

Good morning Danos,
Here there is something quite different and misterious on this capture. Maybe the pov or the quite unusual scenery. Whereas our kids (or my grandchildren) are playing with their plastic toys, this boy enjoys a play with his snake. And is quite proud about his dangerous toy !

Hello Danos,

A pity the boy's face isn't more visible, I miss the eyes, but still this makes a really great shot, thanks to the pov/framing, its sharpness/focus on the boy and snake and the subtle colour pattern and use of light. I like the cross pattern of wooden beams and shadows falling at the bottom right. Good work.

Hi, Danos. A nice composition with the wooden planks making a nice diagonal line in the foreground. There are good details on the snake and an interesting DOF. It's a pity the boy's face is hidden by his cap, even though we can guess the kind of expression he has.

An adequate framing for that scene with the young boy(I wish I could see his eyes ;) and his snake...Light/shade have created a nice contrast and I am waiting to see your next picture ;) Sharpness is at its best with also the texture of the wood nicely rendered.

Sorry, I just realized that you already are visiting South East Asia, I forgot. Snake charmers in Cambodia are looking to make money. Personally I like more the one in India, which at least put up a show. Nice capture with vibrant colors and high sharpness in the half shadow showing the power of your wideangle. Well done

Wonderful shot ! I love. The quality is perfect. The only regret I have is not to see more the face of the child, at least one of its eyes. But it's a great shot! I really love the framing. Light, sharpness and colors are beautiful also. Great great pleasure to look at this photo.
Interesting note also which presents us a typical scene in Cambodia.
Impressive to see this child holding with ability an animal which frightens most of us.

Beautiful and very interesting series of photographs on these tourist shops located in the middle of the river. This kid seems very proud to pose with this python. I like much the quality of the image and in particular the good focus which emphasizes well your subject. I appreciate also the photograph showing the whole of the shops and in particular the child who is behind in the large bucket in water, is necessary to avoid the movements !!!
