Photographer’s Note

I liked the symmetry between the 2 opposing facades. It almost looks like a sepia toned b&w too, even though it's in color. Angkor Wat is near the small western Cambodian town of Siem Riep, and dates from the 12 th century. The reliefs depict 'Apsara' dancers.

hi chris, indeed a nice symetry in this view; i like your composition and dof, well selected let us admire details on both fragments of the facade (still - there are differences visible ;-))

Excelent picture to this Bas Relif that is a beautiful piece of art. A artwork in another artwork so well captured and framed. It's really it seems a Sepia tone but is natural color. Very well seen, symmetrical and well done.

Hi Chris, beautiful!. The first time I saw en embossed picture It reminded me of the carving in the temples. The work is superb, and you have displayed it well. Good vertical layers, nice depth.

Ankor looks to me as a magic place, and this "relief" is a contribution to this idea.
well photographied to offeer the upper leaves to the "dancers" And also a nice view to the darker sculpture.

Nice detail you found here, Chris, of Cambodia's iconic tourist attraction. In addition to the details of the artwork as such, the contrast and the very subtle hints of color are very enjoyable in this one.

Wonderful shot! This works in so many ways - The contrast between the near and far, large and small, the white and black - great stuff. The light is just right to show the incredible detail, but not too contrasty. Well done!
