Photographer's Note

Caught in a sandstorm, that man looked so ool despite a scary moment and not a welcoming sight to me but it seemed normal in spring season. A foreboding scene of desert sandstorms roaring and howling at quite an incredible speed over Karakoram Highway on the edge of the boundless Taklamakan Desert.

This was once in a life time experience, taken from a dead-slow moving vehicle as the massive yellow dust engulfed everything on sight for miles along the horizon blocking out the sun for about one hour.
