Photographer's Note

The Hanuman Langur is named after the Hindu divinity Hanuman.
They are largely gray, with a black face. In Indian mythology, this is because Hanuman, a monkey warrior, burnt his hands and face trying to rescue Lord Rama's wife.
The Hanuman Langur is the sacred monkey of India, and because they are tolerated so much they are largely unafraid of people.
This was taken up at the Monsoon palace in Udaipur, and you can find many of them there.
