Photographer’s Note

Once again the festive season were here in Chandannagar. And this time I was ready with my new Digital camera. I took a lot of shot during this season and here is my first post of them.

It was from one of those renowned puja's of Chandannagar in this season. The theme was a Buddhist temple and these hand made lanterns were so spectacular to watch that I couldn't resist myself.

These lanterns show up really well against the black background.

The diagonal alignment of the lanterns makes for good composition, and with each successive lantern decreasing in size it creates a good sense of perspective.
