Photographer's Note

From a sea turtle hatchery but they are great to see in the wild as well. I liked the fact that the local people were looking toward environmental preservation as a way toward sustainability. Instead of selling the turtles for soup or their shell they were releasing then back into the wild. Since sea turtles always come back to the same place to lay their eggs, these released turtles would always come back to the turtle farm and keep the cycle going. In this case the turtle farm was attached to a restaurant.
