Photographer's Note

While visiting the Heian Shrine in Kyoto, I spotted a group of formally dressed people at one of the side-courtyards. It turned out to be a wedding photoshoot. I couldn't get near the entourage and had to be contented to shoot from a distance. I waited patiently for over 30 minutes as the bride's minders fixed and fussed over her dress and hair. Finally, my patience was rewarded. The minders left the couple alone and I took this shot. Pity there were some folding chairs to the left of the couple that I couldn't physically remove since I was not an invited photographer! I framed the shot with a tree on the left and an orange pillar on the right.
