Photographer's Note

Said by many to be one of the country's most beautiful campuses, Kwansei Gakuin University was founded by Methodist missionaries (I've forgotten the exact date), built in Spanish architectural style. This style may give the university a foreign feel, but this is counter-acted by its layout, the architect took pains to landscape and arrange the buildings using Japanese arrangements. This can perhaps be seen in its many shaped trees and cherry blossoms around the grounds, its large Japanese garden, and its winding, almost circular paths scattered throughout the grounds.
Pictured here is the newly-built School of Law. Its layout gives the feeling that the building was always there. The lake in front of the building makes this a great place to take photos. With the cherry blossoms in full bloom and falling on the ground and into the lake, I thought this a good photo opportunity.
