Photographer's Note

This is the type of house you will see along the river. This one is very close to the water. You see here the clothes line which is typical in all. This is how they dry and bleach their clothes, by the sun. The house sidings with patterns on it are made of palm leaves. The diagonal sidings and lattice works are all made of bamboo. The roof is made of nipa palms but the flashings (trims at the edges) are of galvanized metal. The part that looks like the balcony is the living area. The bedrooms are the enclosed areas. The lower part of the house is used for storing food and keeping pets.
