Photographer's Note

Chiang Rai, a town situated in the north of Thailand is treated as an alternative to CHiang Mai for organising treks to the jungle. The town itself is also worth visiting and spending at least one afternoon strolling through its streets and observing the life of its residents. For us it was only a day-long stopover on the way north to Huay Xai in Laos. After a walk in the rain, the late afternoon sky looked quite nice with the lonely palm tree growing, somehow, on the roof of a house near our hotel. I took a photo of it and here is the result. I hope you like it.

PP: saturation and playing with colours to make it more violet-like (hopefully not exaggerated)
