Songkhla Coast Guard Vessels Photo

Photographer’s Note

The Thai Coast Guard has a small base at Songkhla's Tahle Sap lake, where this fast vessels are ready to sail out at short notice. Even today, there is a potential risk of piracy at the east as well the west coast of the Southeast Asian peninsula. Songkhla region is not very popular with pirates, but there is the ongoing insurgency in the three most southern Thai provinces, where Muslim extremist have taken up an armed struggle for their homeland, the Sultanate Pattani. These extremists certainly need a continuous supply of ammunition and weapons which the Thai coast guard has to prevent among other duties.

This one has good saturated colours and exposure. However, it looks a bit soft.

Namaste Urs,
another great daily life shot with your master touch. Vivid colours. Great sharpness. You have kept a large sky in upper side of this vertical frame. It gives a happy mood here. The detailling of clouds is also good with nice blue, beautiful exposer. Very well taken photograph.

Super image. I would be tempted to play around with those darker areas on the underside of the boats and the trees to the left to see if I could bring some more details out, might be possible if you shot it in RAW.

Hallo Urs,
wunderbare Farben und Kontraste und ein ganz phantastisches Licht, in dem sogar das Patrouillenboot idyllisch aussieht! Der Gesamteindruck nimmt den Betrachter sofort gefangen. Je länger ich mich jedoch auf das Bild konzentriere, je mehr bin ich davon überzeugt, dass der Himmel zu hoch ist. Aber das ist eine persönliche Ansichtssache, es ist trotzdem ein wunderschönes Bild!

Que beleza de céu está magnifico tem uns tons de azul muito bons , fiou bonito este primeiro plano com estes barcos tem bonitos detalhes, boa luz e cores, parabéns!!
