Photographer's Note

Thanks to Aqua for the title (remember the worst song of the late nineties', "she's a Barbie girl in a Barbie world"?).

Of course that's blurry and I screwed up but why wouldn't have I the right to post blurry shots for god sake?
Why wouldn't you expect me to make beginner mistakes and forget that you can switch ISOs on a digital SLR (believe me or not this is the true reason)...

Thanks to Naret who gave me the tip (I'm so disappointed we didn't meet in Thailand, Naret... :-(...), I asked everyone I talked to where I could shoot a buddhist ceremony
in which the faithful are expected to massively bring and light up candles.. apparently no one in Phuket was aware of that, I can understand for the hindu nepalese tailor I talked with every afternoon on my way back from the dive centre morning, but more more surprising from the so-declared buddhist vendors words also...

I finally managed to get the confirmation and the place to be from a muslim sailorman on a diveboat (When you want something, ask a sailorman?!).

So Wat Chalong was the place, and indeed it was... I first had to manage myself a clear and interesting background squat there, took a few shots, forgot that 1600ISO was a possibility and waited for somthing to happen while clicking some shots on deserted incense sticks and...

... waited and ...

... waited some more and...

...wooow... here she comes through my viewfinder, (why is this %$$£%* shutter speed so slow) and what a gracious move (made me think how disgracious we northerners could be...), she could be living in a blurry world!
