Photographer’s Note

Within hours upon landing in Hà Nội’s Noi Bai International Airport the tour group I was with set off to explore the city’s sights. It was a pleasant surprise to come across this elderly man having a nap in a public place. He had secured one end of the hammock to a nail embedded into the brick wall, with the other end tied to a lamp post. The cool weather – at 19°C – coupled with the overcast sky makes it inviting for a late morning siesta.

Great catch. He looks like he has the right idea. Well composed with the lamp post and walking stick framing the gentleman.

Hi Steven Young...!

People try to take snap of an ordinary things like landscape, sun-set etc etc..
But i found this shot pretty much different from others.What a mood, OUTSTANDING.
Everything in this shot is completely A1.
Contrast,brightness,angel,.
There are 2 main things that i liked most in this shot.
1.Diagonal cut of road,with beautiful contrast of bricks color.
2.Natural expression of a sleeping man.

This shot truely deserve praise.Amazing shot friend.

A interesting and well composed shot. It's refreshing to see something other then the usual rice terraces and conical hats of Vietnam.

interesting POV on a quite unsual daily life situation. I like the color contrast, the composition of objects and the sharpeness. I think it also gives an important social message. Great shot!
