Photographer's Note

Headquarter of America's first viceroyalty and residence of the Columbus-Toledo family. Its construction started in 1511 by order of the viceroy and governor Don Diego Columbus, son of the first Admiral Don Christopher Columbus, discoverer of America. It was occupied by the family and their descendants until 1577. Rebuilt in 1955, it hosts a historical museum.
