Photographer's Note

Mostar it is the bridge. A legendary bridge built by the Othomans, destroyed during the war and rebuilt under the crook of UNESCO. But Mostar it is also and especially a fractured city. Even if the bombs are kill, the inhabitants of two banks of the river (the ones Croatian and Christian, other Bosnians and Moslems) continue to live one leave cold war, the ones with their churches and an ostentatious cross perched above the city, the others with their minarets and their calls with the prayer... two clans which are measured, is hardly tolerated. But it is officially peace. It is the part Is city (the Moslem woman) which mainly attracts the tourists with its lanes, its old Othoman residences and especially the district of the bridge where bars and souvenir shops are numerous. The war left there after-effects, quantity of destroyed houses, a whole architectural heritage damaged forever... A the West also, there are scars, buildings still marked by shootings of shell. But here, nobody any more seems to lend to attention separately us to it. Like supplementing a little morose environment, it rains.
