Photographer's Note

I suppose in the past this beautiful cathedral was predominantly a place of worship and people coming here were kneeling for prayer. Nowadays people are still kneeling here (in this photo) but more often to take a photo in front of this beauty. St. Vitus Cathedral is probably the most impressive structure in Prague. It is located on top of a castle hill and is easily visible from many spots in town. Access to this courtyard and to part of the cathedral interior is free, you need to buy a ticket only if you want to better explore some more areas of the castle. As mentioned on another occasion I was not very lucky with the weather in Prague, but I cannot complain entirely since sometimes the sun was getting through. Ironically when I arrived on the castle hill, I took plenty of photos at quite poor light conditions and just about when I had to leave, the sun came out. It was a bit irritating. If I was by myself, I would probably repeat all photos at better light, but it would be hard to convince my family that I would like to start over a walk which we just finished. As grumpy as it sounds, I am very glad that I could visit this beautiful place with my little daughter and some other family members.
