Photographer's Note

We look from the viewpoint called Hostibejk in Kralupy nad Vltavou to the east, ie. upstream of the Vltava. Kralupy is a relatively large industrial town with 18,400 inhabitants. In the right part of the picture we see the station, where the train arrived in 1851. Then came the development of the city. To the left of the station we see the tower of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St. Wenceslas, built between 1894 and 1895.

Díváme se z vyhlídky zvané Hostibejk v Kralupech nad Vltavou k východu, tzn. proti proudu Vltavy. Kralupy jsou relativně velké průmyslové město s 18400 obyvateli. V pravé části snímku vidíme nádraží, kam vlak dorazil již v roce 1851. Pak nastal rozvoj města. Vlevo od nádraží vidíme věž kostela Nanebevzetí Panny Marie a svatého Václava, postaveného v letech 1894 - 1895.
