Photographer’s Note
A full color picture from sunny Denmark. In January the nature of Scandinavia does not offer much colors but if you are lucky it offers a shine instead.
This look out over the frozen lake just shows ice of different age and frozen under different conditions. Note that there is no open water in the picture. The verticals are reflections of trees standing on a narrow island, so narrow that the trees have to stand in line.
The title was taken from all the signs around the lake saying that it is forbidden to travel on the ice, a good recommendation as this ice was to thin. Still I found those signs amusing and surprising as I am used to make that decision on my own without interference from authorities. Often the Danes complain about Sweden having to many rules too...

Wow, what an artistic shot ! You always do your work carefully - photography must be your second love after your wife - if wife -if not - the first :). I do not have to explain this, I really follow your artist eye. "Up from lower left corner and beautiful fly then by nature". Very well thought trough this, Ebbe.

A very strong graphic motif, Ebbe, with excellent framing and a very effective low saturation and high contrast. The textures are very diferent but very harmonic. It is a very good composition, very well done. When it comes to ice, you always at your best.

A fine compo with the tree in the foreground!
Excellent how you made the different sorts of ice visible. The reflection in the upper part is a nice extra!
