Photographer's Note

These are the colurful houses of Nyhavn, a very popular place for both turists and the inhabitants of the city of Copenhagen. This row of houses is situated by the waterfront and the adjacent canal which was originally built in 1673. From this place one can embark on one of the Canal Tour boats or just enjoy a beer or a meal on one of the many restaurants and pubs located by the waterfront. The day I took the photo there were lots of people in this area but I chose to keep both them and the pubs and restaurants outside the composition only focusing on the colourful facades of these old buildings.
