Photographer's Note

Last one of my series "square Marseille"

Perched on a rocky outcrop at 149 meters, the Notre-Dame de la Garde seems to watch over this “melted” couple. It protects sailors and fishermen since 1864, when it was consecrated. The Marseillais have an almost symbiotic relationship with the church, they affectionately call "the Good Mother" (the Boueno Maire in Provençal).

Below the Basilica, we also see the two crenellated towers of Saint-Victor abbey.

I found funny these two people who seem to form one.
The focus was made on the basilica, but I realize that maybe I should have target these two young people.
