Picture taken in the bottom of a valley in the Alps on a Cross Country Skiing domain.

These "rails" that we see in the foreground are used to practice alternative (classic technique). The skier uses rails to guide the skis and is moving as if he was walking. It actually slips on the runway with the help of his sticks. The other technique used in cross-country ski is skating. This technique is known as one that requires more respiratory power (far ahead before running, swimming and even cycling).
