Photographer's Note
I was very lucky to get this shot (crop; see in WS the original picture).
We started trekking late (9.30 AM) and after 30 minutes walk, I noticed 4 izards coming down the mountain. Luckily, the wind was in the good direction. I stopped and started looking at them, through my camera and zoom at the extended range. They moved slowly, looking everywhere, and saw us but as we didn't move, they went on to reach stones where some salt has been put by shepperd for the sheep. We moved slowly to come closer. A quarter an hour after, they suddenly ran. I had changed my setting from 1/90s at the begining to 1/250s.
The izard is relative to the Pyrénées, 1m long and 25kg. I think that the jump should be close to 5 m long. Surprising position, never seen such a picture for this animal. Hope you appreciate!

Extraordinary capture, CLODO. It's even a bit surreal, the izard seems like flying but I see no wings ;-) Anyway, amazing panning and good explainatory note. Wonderful series, I'll be treking in Pyrénées in a few days...

Congratulations on this shot. Your timing was spot on to capture this izard in full flight. The fast shutter speed has worked as the sharp focus of the animal against the blurred background helps to convey an impression of speed and action. A rare opportunity.

Bonjour Claude

Bonjour Claude,
Amicalement

Hello Claude,
What a great moment, what a splendid jump, both WS pictures are also wonderful.
Perfect timing we see the ribs and the muscle on the deer.
Colors and sharpness are wonderful.
Composition and presentation are very nice. TFS.

Bonsoir, Claude.
Quelle prise!

As a famous sportsman once said: "The more I practise, the luckier I get". You deserve full credit for an amazing and professional standard photograph. Great panning to capture the deer. I am stunned, this is fantastic. Very well done.

Bonjour Claude

Not easy to see in freedom, not easy to catch in action...

Hello Claude,
fantastic shot of this "flying" chamois with very good sharpness and a spectacular jump. We do have some chamois here in the Danube valley, but I have never seen one jumping like this. Congratulations to this difficult and exceptional wildlife picture.
Best wishes,
Helmut
