Photographer's Note

A photo taken in the afternoon, against the light, with my little Panasonic FZ7. I like the bluish color of the photo.

These are the islands Sanguinaires. We can no longer visit the site of the tip of the Parata directly, parking has been arranged at 1 km.
The islands owe their name to the color they are when the sun goes down. It is the most common explanation.
They consist of 4 islands: Mezza Mare (or Bloody Great), cormorants, and Porras Cala d'Alga. In the distance, the big island of Bloodthirst with its lighthouse dating from 1870. It is automatic since 1985. Just ahead on another island: a former semaphore. In the foreground is the Tower of La Parata (1608)
