Episode 22

Pichard was there. Back. In the big city. In the dark big city. He had left Marseille a few hours ago.
The beach was far away. The sun was nothing but a souvenir. The colors staid South.
And he was there. Waiting for Monette. He didn't know if she would come. Actually, he was thinking she wouldn't come.
But, he was waiting there.
And that roadsign that was inviting him to leave. And that sign he didn't know how to understand...

Alors tu t'essaye à Pichard ...
super pour un début : belle photo, très graphique avec juste la touche de couleur qu'il faut et puis aussi le vertige suscité par la photo n'est pas mal non plus.
Quant au texte, je le trouve très réussi lui aussi.

Ah ! Très bienvenu au club Stéphane, ça y est tu as franchi le pas pour entrer dans le récit. Mais attention, PICHARD est comme TE, ça prend, c'est marrant, mais quand tu n'as pas d'idée, quand c'est la page blanche, c'est les boules.
L'univers y est, c'est sûr. Très bonne atmosphère. Elle est super cette prise. Je pense au dessin de Jacques TARDI dans ses BD qui adaptent les romans noirs ou les romans policiers.
Je n'enchaine pas cette fois-ci dans le récit, mais dès ta prochaine contribution, je le ferai avec grand plaisir.

un cadrage qui donne vraiment de la hauteur et une lumiére qui colle a l'ambiance de l'histoire policiere, bien vu

This one is fun, Stephnae, its strong 'abstract' quality works well and the relationship between the two object has been calculated perfectly. The image fill the frame in a delightful way. This is one of your most polished images, in my view, Stephan. regards kevin

Salut Stephane, it's only a small step from NY with the well rendered and dark verticalism. The progression on the traffic sign, the street light and grey sky makes for good story telling. Ah of course, Pichard.

Alors tu t essayes aux aventures de Pichard :-)
Une photo qui a une sacré ambiance, tout en verticalité, sombre et gris. Je n avais jamais pensé a utiliser un lampadaire sous cet angle. Et car marche! C est quel immeuble, Montparnasse?

J aime bien la separation entre le lampadaire et l immeuble, mais j aurais prefere un poil de separation en plus. Ceci dit, avec ton cadrage panoramique verticale tres elancé ca fonctionne aussi comme cela.

Another good use of upwards perspective for a dynamic image. The quadrant of the road sign works well in the composition. It almost seems to be partial de-saturation.

Bonjour Stéphane,
le panneau de signalisation nous permet d'apprécier que ta photo n'est pas N et B.
Le ciel gris et les tons de l'édifice et du réverbère nous donnent cette sensation monochromatique. La perspective et la fuite de lignes vers le ciel est magnifique.
Une bonne photo, Bravo!

Bonsoir Stéphane,

Tu as le chic pour nous présenter ces paysages urbains. Ici j'aime beaucoup le mât du lampadaire qui suit de façon rectiligne le pignon du building. Très bel effet visuel. Le panneau à la bas ajoute la touche de couleur qu'il faut. Coup d'oeil intéressant, bravo Stéphane.

Great POV. I like the crop to show the hieght of the building. The silhoutte of the street lamps work great for the composition. Very artistic shot with abstract painting like quality. Well seen and presented. Merci.

Stéphane, je te félicite pour la beauté de cette photo. Un graphisme des plus purs dans une composition simple et très forte. Même le panneau d'interdiction de stationner participe par sa courbe à la beauté de l'ensemble.

montparnasse sous une angle très 'space' avec ce lampadaire et ce bout de panneau, la luminosité notament le reflet à droite, est intéressante

The photo is a little dark, but very beautiful as well. Great idea for this combination of the street lamp and the Tour Montparnasse. I like that the lamp post is so close to the building, only a small strip of sky dividing the two elements. The traffic sign is also a great inclusion in the corner. Very well done!

Pichard entendait un bruit indistinct, répétitif... Un son qui semblait sortir des profondeurs, comme si il avait été couvert de mille couvertures. Un bruit étrange qui petit à petit se fit de plus en plus sonore, pour enfin devenir tout à fait bruyant. Pichard émergea alors brutalement d'un sommeil de 15 heures... son téléphone sonnait....

- Allo pichard à l'appareil !
Parvint-il à bredouiller malgré sa bouche furieusement empatée.

- Pichard ? C'est Pivert, chuis à Paris, gare de Lyon....

- Bouge pas je viens te chercher mon p'tit !

Pichard en se rhabillant d'une démarche hésitante, songea à cet étrange rêve et l'irruption de Monette. Voilà bien 20 ans qu'il n'avait eu de ses nouvelles et ce facheux rêve le replonga dans des souvenirs qu'il aurait préféré laisser bien emmitouflés.
Avant de décamper il passa un coup de fil à Le Tallec et convinrent d'un rendez-vous au restaurant de la gare de Lyon Le train bleu...
Les affaires reprenaient....

Il faut que tu replonges encore plus profond dans ton disque dur, il y a de jolis trésors qui y sommeillent...
La compo est superbe avec ces trois éléments parfaitement équilibrée et le PP parfaitement inspirée.
J'aime beaucoup...

I can imagine the consideration of Pichard, but I think that he should have realize that everything is appearance and often not what it seems to be. And then a lamppost can be larger Maine Montparnasse.

Had to Google to find who Pichard was! Good use of the upward looking POV to have the lamppost & the two lamps silhouetted against the sun & the building with it's wall parallel to the post. Very good placement of the road sign as well. Good work!
