Photographer's Note

This is the second shot taken while waiting for aurora borealis to occur... Actually a pretty huge and bright shootingstar exactly crossed the frame and I was excited to see the outcome of it but it turned out to be almost invisible! When you exactly know where it is you see slight streak...
How can I make it visible? What is wrong? What's the trick? I experienced the same trouble when I tried to capture the ISS at mag -1.0 which also resulted in a very thin strip...
Help! What settings should I use?
