Photographer's Note

We came back from Poland and happened to spend our night at Wörlitz, centre of the Dessau-Wörlitz Gartenreich.
This is a cultural landscape of several landscape parcs with mixed buildings, founded by Prince Leopold III Friedrich Franz von Anhalt-Dessau (1740-1817). The prince was a contemporarian of the Age of Enlightenment, so he rejected baroque gardens and preferred English landscape parcs instead. The total area is 142 square km and has been recognized as UNESCO cultural world heritage since 2000.

It was an overcast morning without the faintest breeze.

Taken with Canon A1, scan from paper print.
