(Yunanca: Ρόδος) Ege Denizi'nde ada, Oniki Adaların en büyüğü, Yunanistan'ın, Meis adası hesaba katılmazsa, en doğuda bulunan adası, adanın aynı adlı idari merkezi. Türkiye kıyılarının en yakın noktası olan Bozburun Yarımadası'ndan 11 mil (18 km.) mesafededir. Adanın 2004 nüfusu 130.000 olup, bunun 55.000'i Rodos şehrinde yaşamaktadır. Rodos şehri Yunanistan'ın Oniki Adalar (Δωδεκάνησα, Dodekanisa) idari bölgesinin ve (Sömbeki, Herke, İleki ve Meis adalarını da içeren) Rodos ilinin (nomos) merkezidir. Dünyanın yedi harikasından biri kabul edilen Rodos Heykeli Kolossos M.Ö. 280 yılında Dorlar tarafından Rodos liman girişinde inşa edilmiştir.Rodos şehrinin Tapınak Şövalyeleri tarafından inşa edilmiş kalesi ve Orta Çağ'dan kalma mahallesi UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi'ndedir.Adada ayrıca,Rodos Diagoras Uluslararası Havaalanı ile Rodos şehri arasında kalan kesimde toplanmış 3.500 nüfusluk bir Türk azınlık bulunmaktadır.İç kısımları ormanlıktır ve Türk çamı da denilen Pinus brutia ağaçları Kızılçam lar ile kaplıdır.Adanın flora ve faunasının,genel olarak,Yunanistan'ın kalan kısımlarından ziyade Türkiye'nin batı sahillerini andırdığı kabul görmektedir.Adanın kuzey ucundaki Rodos dışındaki en önemli yerleşim,güneydoğu sahilindeki Lindos'tur.

(Greek: Ρόδος, Ródos, IPA: [ˈro̞ðo̞s]; Italian: Rodi; Ottoman Turkish: ردوس Rodos; Ladino: Rodi or Rodes) is a Greek island approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi) southwest of Turkey in eastern Aegean Sea. It is the largest of the Dodecanese islands in terms of both land area and population, with a population of 117,007[2] of which 53,709 resided in the homonymous capital city of the island.
Historically, Rhodes was famous worldwide for the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The medieval Old Town of the City of Rhodes has been declared a World Heritage Site. Today Rhodes is a tourist destination.

Topography of RhodesThe island of Rhodes is shaped like a spearhead, 79.7 km (49.5 mi) long and 38 km (24 mi) wide, with a total area of approximately 1,400 square kilometres (541 sq mi) and a coastline of approximately 220 km (137 mi). The city of Rhodes is located at the northern tip of the island, as well as the site of the ancient and modern commercial harbours. The main air gateway (Diagoras International Airport, IATA code: RHO) is located 14 km (9 mi) to the southwest of the city in Paradisi. The road network radiates from the city along the east and west coasts.
In terms of flora and fauna, Rhodes is closer to Asia Minor than to the rest of Greece. The interior of the island is mountainous, sparsely inhabited and covered with forests of pine (Pinus brutia) and cypress (Cupressus sempervirens). The island is home to the Rhodian deer. In Petaludes Valley (Greek for "Valley of the Butterflies"), large numbers of tiger moths gather during the summer months. Mount Attavyros, at 1,216 metres (3,990 ft), is the island's highest point of elevation. While the shores are rocky, the island has arable strips of land where citrus fruit, wine grapes, vegetables, olives and other crops are grown.
Outside of the city of Rhodes, the island is dotted with small villages and beach resorts, among them Faliraki, Lindos, Kremasti, Haraki, Pefkos, Archangelos, Afantou, Koskinou, Embona (Attavyros), Paradisi, and Trianta (Ialysos). Tourism is the island's primary source of income.

Önce taşların renginin bu kadar gerçekçi hissi fotoğrafla aktarılma başarınızdan ötürü sizi kutluyorum.
Aynen rönösans anlayışı: 'Kendisine benziyecek ,aslından güzel olacak.
Hanım kızın kırmızı elbisesini de başka bir renkte düşünmek aklıma bile gelmedi.
Merdiven basamaklarının sonradan restorasyon ile yapılması bile göze batmıyor.Eski havası verilmiş.
Güzel bir foroğraf,tekrar tebrikler.

Belle construction d'image, Burak, cette escalier formant une belle diagonale. J'aurais placé cette jeune femme plus bas sur la photo, mais je devine qu'on n'a pas toujours la possibilité de prendre la photo au moment où on le désirerait.
Belles couleurs naturelles avec cette belle touche de rouge vif.

Hi Burak,

The red color is stunning in contrast to the pale stones. You've rendered this color brilliantly. I think I would have preferred the scene, though, without the evident effects of the wind on the girl's dress.

I like the strong diagonal in your composition formed by the stairs.

My eyes are glued to her as she is ascending the stairs, thanks to the shining red dress of course...
Good background in the stone wall, personally I'd crop a cm in the top to get rid of some distraction!
