Photographer's Note

One of the most important and pleasant features of Thessaloniki is that almost the whole city is looking to the sea and the beautiful Thermaic Gulf. Until some decades ago, the water was very clear and people could swim there, but unfortunately now the pollution is more than visible. What impressed the most, were these beautiful traditional boats, right beside Nikis Avenue, a road full of traffic and lively bars. A "parentesis" of tranquility in the buzz of the large city.
