Photographer's Note

Departing from the flea market for a while, I show you a Hungarian betyár (~higwayman) and the inevitable bullwhip at the Tirpák Festival in Nyíregyháza. Tirpáks were a distinct ethnicity with Slovakian ancestors, who - after the Ottomans were repelled from Hungary in 1699 - mainly settled around Nyíregyháza, which belonged to the heavily affected areas. - Namely the original population either flew or was killed.

Nowadays the Tirpák origins are displayed in cultural events like this. Tirpák dishes too, are served of course!

On the left you can see the City Hall, in the bg. the 'bank palace.'

Leica M4-2, Jupiter-12 (35/2,8) at f4, ca. 1/500, Kodak Ektar 100. - It was the first time ever a considered myself good enough to buy and use such an expensive film instead of the cheapo or expired ones.
