Photographer’s Note

Herculaneum, the seaside village of rich and beautiful romans was buried by lava coming from the eruption of Vesuvio in 79 b.c.

This little pleasure place with the decoratiion and the everyday odbjects are amazingly well preserved by the lava, better than the world-famed Pompei.

The sophisticated taste and the dacadence of the Roman upper class can be captured looking these frescos.
