Photographer's Note

This is a photo of an unlucky photographer, the colorful tram has arrived when I took a picture of the famous "La Scala" theater.
In WS you can see the theater building without a tram :)

The Teatro alla Scala - the most famous opera stage in Milan and Italy and one of the most famous in the world. The theater building was designed by architect Giuseppe Piermarini in the years 1776-1778.

The inaugural performance (the opera L'Europa riconosciuta by Salieri) took place in 1778. Starting from the end of the 18th century, La Scala plays the role of a center of operatic art of international significance. The Opera house can hold 3,600 people. Most of greatest operatic artists, and many of the finest singers appeared at La Scala. The theater is regarded as one of the leading opera and ballet theaters in the world
