Rocchetta delle Nocelle – Norcia (PG)
Nelle vicinanze di Cortigno ci sono i ruderi della Rocchetta delle Nocelle, l’antica Rocca Nucilli, che incombono su Triponzo alla confluenza dei fiumi Nera e Corno. Vi transitava un percorso del bronzo finale per Triponzo, testimoniata da ben due antichissimi toponimi, Castiglioni. In quei luoghi secondo una vecchia tradizione nacque la famiglia Colantoni che trasferitasi a Collazzoni di Preci dette il nome a quel castello. Nelle riformanze del comune di Norcia si trova la nomina di castellani per Rocca Nucilli, Triponzo e Belforte datata al 3 luglio del 1437. Al termine di una delle tante guerre tra Spoleto e Norcia, nel 1454, Papa Niccolò V confermava Rocca Nocelle, assieme a Triponzo e Belforte, ai nursini.
Dopo l’abbandono del sito come luogo fortificato esso divenne un rifugio di briganti; stanchi delle continue vessazioni gli abitanti dei cestelli vicini si coalizzarono tra di loro e distrussero la Rocchetta, uccidendo tutti i briganti, le campane della chiesa furono trasportate nella vicina Poggio di Croce.

nice to have the slanted downhill angle on the hillside, it makes a strong impact. lovely combination of blues and greens, and of course the scene is enhanced by the hiker as well. good one. cheers

A great hike in an old land - human history here. Hard to see the structure, perhaps on its side in the upper right. Looks like the path turns toward it in that direction. A great view of the valley far down below.

Quite a breath taking mountain scape with some lovely colours and lighting lots of green capped by blue sky. The lone trekker adds perspective, scale proportion and depth. A cool and a real treat for the eye..

The lone figure in red enliven the nature's scenery, where the slope is very steep and the view down the valley on left gave good sense depth to the scene.

Missed this one. The castle ruins high atop this hill seem like an interesting place to visit. Good sharpness and excellent inclusion of the hiker in a red shirt, that contrasts well with the bg blue sky. Tfs!

Silvio, that hiking trail offers breathtaking views on the surrounding hills. A stroll in such altitude path relieve stress and the hiker can enjoy the clean air far from the urban areas. Fine colors, good image quality, instructive photo note, regards.
