The Neumünster is a former Benedictine abbey in Luxembourg located in the Grund district on the Alzette. It was built in 1688 and belonged to the Benedictines until the French Revolution, that is, until 1789. After the revolution, there was a police station, a prison and even barracks of Prussian soldiers after the defeat of Napoleon. Currently, it is the seat of the European Cultural Institute organizing concerts, exhibitions and seminars.
