Darstellung der Freiheit

Some time ago I posted three picture of the German painter Johannes Grützke, from the exhibition “Der Pinsel hat gesprochen” in Museum More.

Today another impression of this exhibition.
I think a lovely picture with an amusing idea of a story in it.

To start with the painting on the right side. ”Darstellung der Freiheit” the painting that first was removed from Facebook.

The two ladies are arguing about it. The woman behind seems to be rather sceptical about the painting if we look at her face. The other is maybe telling that possibly it is an important artwork.

But also the three paintings on the left wall are playing a role in this story.

• On the right painting the music is playing. A violinist is playing the background-music.
• In the middle picture three men are making fun of the two women.
• On the left side a man is highly astonished about the response of the women to the painting “Representation of freedom”
You can see a gallery of this three paintings in the Workshop
