Another stained glass window and another palace in Lodz.
View of interior and stained glass windows of Maurycy Poznański's Palace

The palace was constructed for Maurycy Poznański. It was built in 1896 to the design of A. Seligson. The form of the building corresponds to the Italian residential architecture of the Renaissance period. Apart from the largest collection of modern art in Poland gathered by the current tenant of the building, the Museum of Art in Lodz, including the work of P. Picasso, Cloe and T. Kantor, the palace has a noteworthy, beautiful stained glass window in the main staircase, which is one of the few sections of the building to maintain its original decor. To meet the needs of the Museum, the interior of the palace was reconstructed in 1946 to the design of Jan Marksen, Marian Minich and Władysław Strzemiński.
